Project Recipe:

  1. Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

    1. STAMPS – Gears & Textures, Fabulous Sayings Stamps* DIES - Gears & Textures

    2. PAPER – Basic White, Very Vanilla, Blackberry Bliss

    3. INK – Secret Sea, Pecan Pie, & Gorgeous Grape

    4. OTHER – Pressed Flowers Motifs Embellishments, Metallics and Black Wow! Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Versamark Embossing pad.Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, Stampin’Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue

  2. Cutting & Scoring:

    1. Very Vanilla Cardstock - 5 1/4" x 4"

    2. Black Berry Bliss Cardstock - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4"

    3. Basic White Cardstock 5" x 4"

  3. Instructions:

    1. Blend the Secret Sea, Gorgeous Grape, and Pecan Pie onto the Very Vanilla Cardstock, creating a mottled, blended background. This is a personal preference for the look.

    2. Sprinkle or spray the panel with water and let it set a few seconds, then place a paper towel or cloth over the top to absorb the liquid and remove it. Let dry or dry with a heat tool

    3. Stamp the blended panel with the Gears and Textures stamps. Placement can be up to you. It's OK to make it with your personal spin.4. Cut out the Gears and Textures dies you'd like to use, then press onto a versamark pad and emboss. I used black and gold embossing powders. I purposely chose to let it be loose and imperfect to fit the grunge look.

    4. Use brown paper to cut out a hat by hand. I drew one freehand and cut it out, but a small rectangle for the body of the hat and a thin one for the rim will work too. Use the same inks to add some depth. (I used scrap paper that was previously embossed. Feel free to give your hat texture.6. Stamp a few gears onto vellum with Versamark and emboss using the gold and black embossing powders. Fussy cut them out.7. Decide on the placement of your die cuts and vellum cuts and adhere with glue and dimensional. The placement is up to you.

    5. Stamp Happy birthday from the Fabulous Saying Stamp set. Fussy cut out and add inks for depth. Adhere to the bottom with dimensional.

    6. Finish by adding the Pressed Flower Motifs.

    7. Turn the card panel over and cut off any overhanging die cuts using the side of the card as your guide.

    8. Adhere the card to the card panel.

    9. Inside using the 5 x 4 white paper adhere it to the right side as a space to write on.

    10. Use the Gears and Textures Stamps to stamp the bottom of the inside white sheet for added dimensions. I used the Chain stamp in the set.
